Analysts indicate 1TB iPhone 13 on the way

Back in October 2020 we reported that the iPhone 13 could have a 1TB option after Jon Prosser tweeted:

Then at the end of January 2021, Prosser again suggested - this time in a Front Page Tech video - that the iPhone 13 or 12s will for the first time have a storage capacity of up to 1TB.

Now industry analysts are making the same claim. Back in February analysts at Wedbush said that supply chain checks indicate that the next-generation iPhone will offer a 1TB storage option.

The claim was reaffirmed in early June, with analyst Daniel Ives still confident that the new iPhone will offer a 1TB storage option - and that the entire iPhone 13 range will sport the upgraded LiDAR sensor too.

The maximum storage has been 512GB since the iPhone XS and XS Max were launched back in 2018. For the majority of users, 1TB would be excessive, but there are use cases where it could be beneficial - like if you're shooting or filming in high resolution - and it allows Apple to compete with the Android competition too.
